The Bridge Community Venue

Background Situated on the borders of Bridge ward in the North West of the Borough of Redbridge at 208 Maybank Road, The Bridge is a local response to the vision of the Redbridge Strategic Partnership documented in the Community Strategy in October 2003. Developed under the charitable purposes of a well established local church, The Bridge Church Reg. Charity No. 1054387, The Bridge Community Venue was opened in September 2004 and delivers a network of community programme.

  • Bridge XL youth & Frantic children’s clubs receive more than 800 visits a month
  • Café Bridge volunteer led community coffee shop receives more than 400 visits a month
  • Community Bridge life-coaching programme including IT, employment support and personal development
  • Orchard RegenBridge programmes to local estate include Community Crafts, 50+ Lunch Club and Bridge Nurse drop-in
  • V3 volunteering Accredited volunteering programme—100+ active volunteers
  • Bridge4LifeRolling life-skills programme
  • Bridge2HealthBridge Healthy Living dept. includes dietary advice and exercise programmes

Life Skills

Life skills academy for young people included sessions on dreams and goal setting. Singer Gabrielle proves that ’dreams do come true’ singing with and presenting awards to participants, live at The Bridge.
