Welcome to our 2020 Church Weekend Away

We have been running our church weekends now for around 16 years, and they have always proved to be an extremely significant and positive part of our the life of the Bridge Church, and a great blessing to everyone who comes. We believe our time together will be really fruitful and significant in your life and in the life of the church.
It is an awesome opportunity to relax in the beautiful surroundings of High Leigh Conference Centre in Hoddesdon, to make new friends, deepen existing friendships, and of course to receive some excellent teaching and ministry into your life
Our theme is 'going against the flow'. The tides of public opinion, social conformity, and cultural conditioning are very powerful and its easy to get swept in a direction we don’t want to go. Swimming against these prevailing under-currents in our society is not easy because as soon as we do, we are judged for not being progressive or permissive enough in our beliefs. When we live differently we risk being misunderstood, misinterpreted or misrepresented.
The goal of this weekend is to help us understand how we can swim against the flow of the the world without abandoning the river altogether !! How do we resist the temptation to compromise and instead become a positive influence for change.
As our guest speakers this year we are so glad to have Roy and Keely Morley. Roy and Keely head up an awesome church in Dartford called Net Church and are great leaders and superb communicators of Gods word. Roy also heads up AoG England and Keely serves on the national board of AoG.
